Who We Are?

Introduction

Nanu Foundation was established in 2011. Most of the rural communities and urban communities from of Nepal are lagging behind due to lack of awareness, lack of proper education, unseen women's exploitation. Access of Women and gap in - access to personal development, access to economic empowerment, access to finance, access to capacity and skill development is common agendas of the country, ultimately it has negative impact on women empowerment. While we talk about rural community there is problem of day-to- day life survival while talking about urban area we can see need of improvement of quality of life of women. Nanu Foundation (NF) thus emerged as an outcome to meet gaps putting on of such efforts. With a view to provide it a legal stature it was registered as a Non-Governmental Organisation under the Association Registration Act of 2034. The organisation came into being in 2068 with a purpose of development through the creation of awareness among the communities and also to activate the people in the area, specially focusing women, children, youth and other marginalized population of the country.

Therefore, it aims to bring about lasting socio-economic benefits to people. In order to achieve this goal, it uses local beneficiaries such as women, children, youth and other marginalized population. To meet such gaps, holistic approaches have been used to implement these activities. It focused on economic empowerment of the women population as well as deprived communities of the country.

Mission

We, Nanu Foundation try to develop leadership of women, children, youth and other marginalized population teach to internalize such gaps and to solve their problems themselves. The foundation activates these populations to identify their problem and motivate them to search solution of the problem to solve it.

Goals

The ultimate goal of the foundation is to improve quality of life of targeted population filling the gap needs identified in participatory manner.

FINANCIAL CAPABILITY AND ACCOUNTING SYSTEM

Nanu Foundation has been running as a non-profit organization committed to enhance the livelihood of poor, marginalized and vulnerable communities through education, awareness, and empowerment since its establishment. All the financial transactions of the company are done through bank and a separate bank account maintained for each project of Nanu Foundation. The Foundation has its own well defined administrative and financials by-laws for smooth and transparent day-to-day personnel and financial administration of the organization. The accounting system of the organization is based on a double entry system and all the transactions are annually audited by Registered Auditors and the audit reports are submitted to concerned tax office.

Nanu Foundation has Current Account at Nepal Bank, Ltd, Kathmandu. The account is operated with the signature of the President of the Foundation.

Trainings and Workshops

The development of human resources is among the major objectives of Nanu Foundation. For each project component Nanu Foundation will do Training needs Assessment in order to assess the skills and qualification needed by project participants for sustainable project implementation. Based on the needs assessment, specific training packages designs and implements.
